Job summary

J&J Dental in Marietta, GA is seeking a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. The Dental Assistant will support the dentist during patient care, prepare treatment rooms and instruments, assist with patient records, and help ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification is preferred. CPR/BLS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental assisting certification/registration preferred or required by state regulations.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of infection-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for procedures.
• Assist the dentist during examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, extractions.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Follow proper infection-control, sterilization, and safety procedures.
• Seat patients, review medical and dental histories, and assist with patient preparation.
• Provide patients with post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Assist with scheduling, patient communication, and other front-office duties as needed.
• Monitor and maintain dental supplies and inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
• Provide compassionate and professional patient care.
