Job summary

Covington Family Dentistry, part of Elevate Dental Partners, is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team in Washington, DC. The role supports dentists with four‑handed dentistry, radiography, patient education, and charting in a modern practice.

We value CPR/BLS certified applicants with a completed accredited dental assisting program and radiology certification. Proficiency in Open Dental or Dentrix is a plus. Benefits available with a 401K and PTO.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Radiology certification is required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for treatment.
• Assist dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry.
• Take X-rays and intraoral photos.
• Documentation and charting of patient information.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
• Perform lab duties including models, impressions and temporary crowns.
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment.
