Base pay range
$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
Shift:
- They have a team of schedulers scheduling for each patient, so you will know the schedule about 4-6 weeks ahead of time, BUT patients could get added on from there so need to be semi flexible.
- Typical start time is 8:30a to set up (patients coming in at 9a) and usually end the day around 3p.
Pay: $25 - $30/hour
Type of Position: Contract to Hire, 800 hours (around 5 months, goal to get hired on after).
Locations:
- Covers their home market which includes driving up to a 2-3 hour radius.
- A Dental Assistant will typically have 1-2 homes they visit in a day.
- There may be an occasional 3rd stop if there is an emergency patient in the area.
- If it's a full denture day (Deliveries and impressions without exams and other treatment) the max they will go into is 4.
- The patient load reduces depending on the number of stops they attend that day.
- Mileage reimbursement is included, as well as paid time for all driving that exceeds normal commute time.
- Paid outside of the first 30 minutes and last 30 minutes of drive time.
- 50c mileage reimbursement from time they leave their driveway to when they get back.
- Paid for charting at night, loading up supplies in vehicle.
- If reach over 40 hours extra hours are time and a half.
- $50 bonus every day when they are on premises - this is based on number of patients and surveys (interaction with nursing home staff, this is who fills out the survey).
Start: ASAP
Dress Code: They will send candidates tops, but you'd need to buy black scrub pants (they reimburse) and then closed toed shoes.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 year clinical experience as a Chairside Dental Assistant required.
- X-ray certification is required.
- Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations in the last 5 years.
- Willingness to travel within a 3-hour radius.
- Must have own reliable transportation with truck space to store equipment.
- Must have clean space at home to store equipment when needed - in a place away from kids/pets to keep hygiene.
- Comfortable communicating online.
Responsibilities:
- Typically working with the same dentist.
- Transport, set-up and take down equipment and supplies in room designated as work space by facility.
- Work with contacts at nursing home to coordinate charts.
- Enter chart notes for treatment at the time of treatment.
- Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
- Inventory supplies and order as needed.
- Ship and receive denture cases from lab on a daily basis.
- Assist with extractions on site unless dentist isn’t comfortable with, then refer to a practice.
