Job summary

Wheat Ridge Dentists, supported by PDS Health, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the dentist, take x-rays and intra-oral images, and help create a welcoming, efficient practice environment.

We offer competitive pay of $20.75 to $29.00 per hour, plus benefits including CE units, paid time off, retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and community volunteer time. Join a team committed to clinical excellence and patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dental Assistant providing patient care.
• Ability to maintain a clean, sterile clinical environment.
• Familiarity with x-ray procedures and intra-oral imaging.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatories and perform x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per ADA/OSHA guidelines.

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience®. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)
