Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will assist the dental team, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and support patients with oral health education.

In this fast-paced practice, you will help schedule appointments and maintain patient records, while building strong patient relationships and contributing to a smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: EFDA certification and proof of training to expose X-rays (FDOH Permit).
• Georgia: CPR, EFDA certification, and X-ray training proof.
• Massachusetts: CPR, X-ray proof, BORID certs and CE requirements.
• Michigan: provide X-ray training cert at hire or within 8 weeks.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: X-ray training cert including FDOH permit to expose X-rays.
• Texas: CPR Certification, TX State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).

• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Requirements

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
• Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
