Job summary

River Landing Dentistry LLC in Summerville, SC is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join a growing, patient-focused practice. The role supports dentists during procedures, assists with X-ray imaging, records, and a strong emphasis on safety and patient comfort.

The right candidate will hold current Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience, bring excellent communication, and thrive in a collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth and a competitive benefits

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentists during procedures, including preparation of materials.
• Provide patient care, help patients feel comfortable, and explain procedures clearly.
• Take high-quality X-rays, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with charting.
• Follow strict sterilization and infection-control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth office operations and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Dentists: Support the dental team during procedures, including preparation of materials, and ensuring all necessary tools are ready.
• Patient Care: Make patients feel comfortable and at ease, provide detailed explanations of procedures, and maintain a compassionate and attentive attitude.
• X-Rays & Records: Take high-quality X-rays, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with charting and documentation.
• Sterilization & Safety: Follow stringent infection control and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth office operations and provide exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification and/or relevant experience preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
