Job summary

Dentologie Ballard is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to deliver outstanding patient care in a vibrant Ballard neighborhood office. The role offers competitive hourly pay, growth opportunities, benefits, and a balanced schedule alongside a fun, supportive culture.

You will assist chairside across diverse procedures, handle instruments, radiographs, and intra-oral scans, and help educate patients while maintaining top hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Six months DA experience with active WA state dental assistant registration.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service and written communication skills.
• Clinical knowledge and patient care abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Thrives in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Coronal polishing certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
• Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of procedures.
• Provide a 10-star patient experience.
• Prepare instruments and materials for upcoming procedures.
• Provide direct patient care in dental services including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS.
• Pass dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
• Ensure patient comfort before and during treatment.
• Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post-treatment.
• Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative care and oral health.

Schedule

• Monday: 7:30am-2:30pm
• Tuesday:12:30pm-7:30pm
• Wednesday: 7:30am-2:30pm
• Thursday: 12:30pm-7:30pm

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
• Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures.
• Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
• Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.
• Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS.
• Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
• Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment.
• Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.
• Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
• Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
• Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.
• Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
• Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post-treatment procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Required: six months DA experience: active WA state dental assistant registration number.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills.
• Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.
