Job summary

Redmond Way Dentistry in Redmond, WA is seeking a dedicated dental assistant who loves what you do. You will prepare patients, assist dentists, manage infection control, and help with imaging and records to ensure smooth procedures.

The ideal candidate is familiar with dental instruments; Cerec/intraoral scanning is a plus, and comfort with digital EMR systems is valued. Training and travel may be required in a supportive, growth‑oriented team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and setting up trays.
• Assisting dentists in emergencies and with procedures.
• Assisting dental hygienists when needed.
• Providing excellent patient care and recording treatment information.
• Exposing dental X-rays and caring for X-ray equipment.
• Educating patients on oral health and hygiene.
• Recording medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Caring for dental equipment and managing impressions for study casts.
• Ordering dental supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Fabricating temporary restorations and impressions.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Preparing patients for dental work.


• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.


• Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.


• Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.


• Providing great patient care.


• Recording treatment information in patient records.


• Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.


• Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.


• Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.


• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.


• Caring for dental equipment.


• Forming preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.


• Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.


• Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
