Timber Dental in Portland, OR seeks a skilled Dental Assistant with at least one year of chairside experience to join our team. You’ll support the dentist through procedures, prepare instruments, take radiographs, and help maintain a calm, efficient operatory.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of dental assisting experience.
  • X-ray certification or ability to obtain per state requirements.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • EFDA certification preferred (if applicable).
  • Strong clinical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images.
  • Record and update patient medical histories and clinical notes accurately.
  • Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
  • Maintain operatory cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
  • Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication.

Timber Dental is seeking a skilled and dependable Dental Assistant with at least one year of experience to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is comfortable working chairside, values efficiency, and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures
