Job summary

Mid America Health is seeking a Full-Time Portable Dental Assistant to join our School Smiles team in Portage, MI. This 5-day-per-week role (Monday–Friday, during school hours) provides portable dental services to children at local schools within a 2-hour radius.

You will maintain portable equipment and the company van, assist the dentist in school operatory setups, load/unload equipment, and perform various administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan X-ray License is required.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers is required.
• 1 year of Dental Assistant experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel within a 2-hour radius.

Responsibilities

• Maintain portable equipment and the company van; keep them in your possession.
• Assist Dentist in portable operatory setup inside the school with chairside procedures as needed.
• Load/unload and setup of dental operatory inside school.
• Perform various administrative duties.

Full-Time Portable Dental Assistant Job Description:

Mid America Health is currently seeking a Full- Time Dental Assistant to join our growing School Smiles team! This position is 5 days per week (Monday - Friday, during school hours) based out of the Portage, MI area (2-hour radius) and is a rewarding opportunity providing portable dental services to children at local schools. This opportunity would be a great fit for a Dental Assistant interested in a low stress opportunity in a non-private practice setting.

• Hourly rate $27.00 hour for clinic hours worked and drive time
• NO weekend hours, and full benefits including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401k, generous paid time off, paid holidays, flex spending, and a health savings account
• Company vehicle is provided, along with a gas and maintenance card
• An active Michigan X-ray License is required for this opportunity

Full-Time Portable Dental Assistant Job Qualifications Include:

• Current Michigan X-ray License is a MUST
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers required
• 1-year Dental Assistant experience preferred
• Willingness to travel within a 2-hour radius
