Job summary

Cherry Tree Dental's Synergy Dental office in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a busy practice with a high-functioning team.

You will prepare and sterilize equipment, record patient histories, support doctors during procedures, and help with charting and patient education. Candidates should have a high school diploma and dental assisting experience or education; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program, or relevant experience.
• Minimum one year of dental assisting experience.
• Customer service or office experience.
• Proficiency in dental terminology and dental software (charting, treatment planning).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Foster a positive attitude and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Collects and records patient health histories and x-rays.
• Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures.
• Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed.
• Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies.
• Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient.
• Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff.
• Assist administrative team with customer service functions.

What you'll do:

As a Dental Assistant you will workto enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As aDental Assistant you will:

• Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Collects and records patient health historiesand x-rays
• Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures
• Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of dental assisting experience required
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred but not required
• Previous customer service or office experience
• Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days indental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Foster a positive attitude and be a team player

Patient Care Hours:

• Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Wednesday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
