Dental Assistant
Location: Norfolk, VA 23510 | Full-Time

Konikoff Family Dentistry - Brambleton is looking for a driven, experienced Dental Assistant to join our Brambleton team. You'll work alongside skilled providers across a full range of services in a fast paced, patient focused environment where your skills are valued and your growth is supported. Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide expert chairside assistance to our dentists across a full range of procedures
• Assist across our complete scope of services: preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, pediatric dentistry, implant dentistry, implant restorations, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontal disease treatment, clear aligner treatment, mouth guards, and emergency dentistry
• Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images in compliance with Virginia state regulations
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
• Set up operatories and ensure all instruments, materials, and equipment are fully prepared before every appointment
• Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, compassionate support throughout every phase of treatment
• Take dental impressions and assist with lab tasks as directed
• Provide post-treatment instructions and patient education on oral hygiene and home care
• Track dental supply inventory and process orders as needed
• Prepare, enter, and track lab cases from submission through delivery
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in Dentrix in full compliance with HIPAA

Administrative Support (as needed)

• Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out
• Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix
• Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries professionally and warmly
• Support billing and additional office tasks as directed

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Virginia Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RDA required
• Dentrix proficiency required
• Current CPR certification required
• Completion of an approved Virginia radiation safety and radiography course required per state regulations
• Strong attention to detail in clinical work, documentation, and operatory preparation
