Role Description

The Dental Assistant role is a part-time, on-site position located in New York, NY. In this role, the Dental Assistant supports the dentist during clinical procedures, prepares treatment rooms, and ensures that instruments and materials are ready for use. Daily responsibilities include chairside assisting, organizing and maintaining dental equipment, and sterilizing instruments according to safety and infection control standards. The Dental Assistant helps with patient intake, explains basic oral care instructions, updates records, and may assist with scheduling and follow-up as needed. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can provide a calm, respectful experience for patients while maintaining an efficient workflow in the dental office.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry to support clinical procedures and chairside care.
• Candidates should possess skills in Dental Care and Oral Care to provide patient education and assist with routine treatments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Sterilization and infection control to maintain a safe and compliant clinical environment.
• Relevant experience in a dental office or completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols, manage multiple tasks, and work collaboratively with dental and office staff.
• Current certification in dental radiography and CPR, or willingness to obtain, is beneficial.
