Job summary

42 North Dental in Groton, CT is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and enhance patient care. You will greet patients, provide chairside assistance, take radiographs, and ensure clean, sterilized treatment rooms, adhering to infection control standards.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of dental procedures, CDA certification preferred, and strong verbal skills to communicate with patients and team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• C.D.A. preferred.
• State certification/licensure as required by state.
• Strong verbal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures.
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
• Provide post operative instructions and patient education.
• Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA compliance.
• Maintain dental supply inventory.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork as providers may change depending on needs.
