Job summary

Aspen Dental is hiring a Dental Assistant in New Braunfels, Texas to support clinicians and patients in a busy practice. You will gain hands-on experience through our training program and participate in chair-side procedures, x-rays, and patient care tasks.

We offer full-time schedules, hourly pay of $16–$18, and a benefits package including PTO, health/dental/vision, a 401(k) with match, and access to continuing education through TAG U.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active license/permit as required by state; including X-ray certification if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction

• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state of practice; including x-ray certification if required
