Affordable Dentures & Implants in Kentucky is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join a specialized practice focused on dentures, implants, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.

You’ll provide chairside support, prepare operatories, assist with denture procedures, impressions, extractions, and post-operative care while ensuring infection control and patient comfort.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with state dental assistant certification.
  • X-ray certification where required by state; experience in dental implants and prosthodontics preferred.
  • Strong communication, patient service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside support and a welcoming patient experience from check-in to treatment.
  • Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment and materials for each appointment.
  • Assist dentists during denture procedures, implants, oral surgery, extractions and prosthetic treatments.
  • Take and process denture impressions and wax bites under dentist direction.
  • Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards and manage supplies.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, post-operative care and home care.
  • Take dental radiographs and document clinical notes accurately.
  • Travel for training and continuing education as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll provide exceptional chairside support while helping patients throughout every stage of their treatment experience.



  • Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.

  • Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.

  • Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments in accordance with state regulations.

  • Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select appropriate impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.

  • Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.

  • Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.

  • Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.

  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.

  • Maintain strict infection prevention and sterilization standards by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatories.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.

  • Support daily office operations, including maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.

  • Travel occasionally for training and continuing education opportunities as needed.

  • Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.


Qualifications

Required:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Dental Assistant and X-ray certification (where required by state)

  • Strong communication and patient service skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate patient care


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1+ year of dental assisting experience

  • Experience assisting with dentures, removable prosthetics, or dental implants

  • Experience taking denture impressions and wax bites

  • Experience assisting with oral surgery and extractions

  • Experience with prosthodontic procedures

  • Familiarity with dental practice management software and electronic patient records
