Job summary

Kare Mobile is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our mobile dental team serving communities across Kentucky and beyond. You will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare rooms, take X-rays, sterilize instruments, educate patients, and help manage records and travel to multiple sites.

The role is full-time, part-time, or PRN, offering flexible scheduling and opportunities to learn in a dynamic, patient-centered environment while delivering accessible dental care to diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
• EDDA certification preferred.
• X-ray certification required.
• Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel to various locations within Western Kentucky, Georgia, and potentially other areas.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient examinations and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
• Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for seamless operation.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient concerns and inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the mobile dental office.
• Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives, promoting oral health education and awareness.
