Job summary

Aspen Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant in New Jersey to support clinical needs and assist doctors with a range of dental procedures. You will be trained to maximize your career potential while contributing to community smiles.

Responsibilities include taking x-rays, preparing operatory, educating patients, and maintaining infection control. A supportive team culture and opportunities for growth are offered. This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active X-ray license as a Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) required by the state of New Jersey.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to best support our diverse patient base.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient rapport across ages.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take dental x-rays.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
• Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Manage infection control and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies to maintain health.
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns as needed.
• Perform impressions and bite registrations; digital intraoral scans.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

As a Dental Assistant, you will help support the clinical needs of the practice’s patients and doctors. You will have the support and training you need to maximize your career potential and help make a difference in your community one smile at a time.

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Active x-ray license as a Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) as required by the state of New Jersey
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred to best support our diverse patient base
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
• High school diploma or equivalent
