Job summary

Aspen Dental in Hammond, Louisiana is looking for a Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. You will help assist during treatment procedures, take dental x-rays, and manage patient flow while ensuring optimal patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to ongoing learning, and must hold a high school diploma. We offer a competitive salary of $16 - $20 per hour and a generous benefits package including paid time off and health insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies.
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
