Family Dental Group in Flint, MI is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team with high-quality patient care in a collaborative office.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, maintain records, and help ensure infection control. Competitive hourly pay $19.00-$24.00 and full-time schedule Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–4pm; benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and continuing education.

Qualifications

• One year on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
