Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Exton, PA team as a full-time role. The position involves chairside assistance, taking and processing x-rays, patient education, and maintaining a clean, safe treatment area.

Dental Assistant - Full Time Position (Monday 7am-2pm, Tuesday 7am-5pm, Wednesday 8am-4pm, Thursday 7am-4pm). Salary Range $22-$25/hr based upon experience. Benefits include mandatory “Must be X-ray Certified”.

More About The Role

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustaining comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments, including iTero 3D scanner and digital photography.
• Provide superior chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare the treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
• If required under state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to PHI necessary for performing job‑related functions; regular HIPAA training required. Must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
• Availability to attend virtual (or in‑person) training sessions periodically throughout the year.
• All new hires in dental office positions must undergo a tuberculosis (TB) test. This requirement is not applicable in FL & TN.
