Job summary

Academy Kids Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in delivering high-quality and compassionate care to all patients.

You will collect patient records, take radiographs, document notes, educate families on oral health, and help maintain a clean, organized practice in accordance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training to state requirements.
• Friendly outgoing demeanor and ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks accurately and timely.
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
• Obtain dental radiographs as requested by the dentist.
• Write accurate chart notes to match services performed.
• Educate patients and parents on good oral health.
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable to patients (restrooms, lobby, etc.).
• Support broader mission of providing high-quality, compassionate dental services to underserved children.

Academy Kids Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Colorado Springs, CO, is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.

Pay range: $16.50-$25/hr (PLUS BONUS OPPORTUNITY)

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilizing dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferredCurrent BLS CPR certification
