Job summary

WYOMING COSMETIC AND FAMILY DENTAL in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant. You will support dentists during procedures, prepare rooms, take X-rays, manage patient records, and assist with front desk tasks.

Ideal candidates hold Wyoming Radiology Certification, CPR, OSHA, and HIPAA certifications, and have strong communication skills. Prior dental office experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Wyoming Radiology Certification is required or in process.
• Current CPR, OSHA, and HIPAA certifications are required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) is a plus.
• Previous dental office experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with dental instruments, procedures and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for procedures.
• Assist the dentist during procedures and hand instruments as needed.
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed.
• Provide patients with post-treatment oral-care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts.
• Schedule patient appointments and support front desk tasks.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice in Cheyenne, WY. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during patient procedures, ensure a clean and organized work environment, and provide excellent patient care and support.

Dental Assistant

Location: Cheyenne, WY 82009

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and providing other support as needed.
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as necessary.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk duties when required.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.

Qualifications

• Wyoming Radiology Certification.

Work Environment

This position is based in a dental office located in Cheyenne, WY. The role requires standing for extended periods and working closely with patients and dental staff. One evening shift a week and 2 Saturday shifts per month will be required.
