Job summary

Aspen Dental is hiring a Dental Assistant in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time position offers competitive pay and a strong training program, with opportunities to give back to the community and improve patients’ lives.

You’ll assist during procedures, take X-rays, prepare operatory, manage patient flow, maintain infection control, educate patients, and collaborate with the team. A high school diploma and active license, including X-ray certification if required, are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active license, registration, or permit to practice dentistry in the state; include X-ray certification if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of dental procedures.
• Take dental X-rays and handle imaging equipment as needed.
• Set up and break down operatory after treatments.
• Monitor patient flow and handoffs within the practice.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments to maintain infection control.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and aftercare.

Job Type: Full Time Salary: $18 - $22 / hour

How You’ll Make a Difference:

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state of practice; including x-ray certification if required
