New City Oral Surgery is hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. You will provide chair-side support, prep patients for treatment, and assist dentists with restorative procedures, while maintaining strict infection control and patient safety.

Competitive hourly pay of $24 per hour, a $1,500 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits accompany this full-time role in a patient‑focused practice that values empathy and professional growth.

Qualificações

• Certification in Dental Assisting or on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new grads may be considered.
• Radiography/X-ray certification for relevant state.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficiency with dental software and patient records.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including chair-side assistance, charting, and patient education.
• Prepare patients for treatment, set up trays and instruments, and ensure asepsis.
• Assist during restorative procedures and assist with radiographs as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great “Impression” on Our Team

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training

• CPR Certification required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
