Job summary

The Smilist in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. You will assist dentists, prepare patients for procedures, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.

• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing their concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule: Part Time - Tuesday through Thursday; potential 1-2 Saturdays per month
• Salary Range: $24.00 to $28.00/hour
• Location: Greenpoint Brooklyn, NY
