Job summary

Southern Dental Birmingham is seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team! You will provide chairside assistance, prepare rooms, take and develop X-rays, and support the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Schedule includes Thursdays 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. We value patient comfort, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment where growth and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical chairside dental assisting experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• X-ray certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patients
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
• Assist with documenting patient information and treatment notes
• Support the clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care
