Job summary

Premier Dental of Connecticut in Bethel, Connecticut is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team with room preparation, instrument sterilization, and chairside assistance. You will join a patient‑focused, team-based office that values quality care and patient satisfaction.

You will join a part-time role with competitive hourly pay of $20–$25, Wednesdays and Fridays 8am–2pm, plus health, dental and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, continuing education

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• At least 1 year of on-the-job experience in dental assisting.
• X-ray certification is required; nitrous oxide certification recommended.
• CPR certification is preferred for emergencies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical support: prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient care: welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography: take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions and study models.
• Compliance & safety: maintain infection control, patient confidentiality, and workplace regulations.
• Documentation: maintain accurate patient records and scheduling/patient intake as needed.
• Emergency readiness: assist with emergencies, maintain CPR certification and emergency supplies.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• 1 year on-the-job-experience
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
