Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply sterilization, bio-hazard, and infection control procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and tray setups.
• Perform chairside procedures efficiently to support providers.
• Direct patient flow through teamwork and clear communication.
• Carry out necessary lab procedures and sterilize lab cases.
• Take panoramic, periapical, and bitewing images.

Fast-paced dental practice, with two locations in Bedford county, seeking a full-time or part-time dental assistant.

Responsible for assisting our providers in delivering quality care to patients.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment, have a can‑do personality, and be able to complete your assigned work in a timely fashion. Must display open communication to co‑workers and commit to patient satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Understand and demonstrate proper sterilization, bio-hazard, and infection control procedures in compliance with protocol
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, maintenance, and proper tray setups
• Perform all chairside procedures efficiently
• Efficiently direct patient flow through teamwork and communication
• Perform all necessary lab procedures
• Package and sterilize all lab cases
• Perform panoramic, periapical, and bitewing images

Education:

Associate’s degree in Dental Assisting (preferred)

2 Years’ Experience In Dental Assisting (preferred)

X‑ray certification (required) or must be able to obtain upon hire
