Job summary

Brien Family Dentistry in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a Full Time Dental Assistant to support one dedicated dentist in a patient-centered general dentistry team. You will be responsible for chairside assistance, preparing patients, instrument setup, sterilization, and maintaining records in a clean, compliant operatory.

The position offers scheduling with weekdays and occasional Fridays, plus a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, insurance, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dental assisting experience.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Ability to work chairside with one dentist.
• Familiarity with digital dental software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures and exams.
• Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or checkups.
• Set up instruments, equipment and materials as needed.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.

Schedule

Monday & Tuesday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

Wednesday & Thursday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
