Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a Dental Assistant at the Arnold Fox Campus to support the dental team in chairside care and preventive outreach. You will help with procedures, room prep, radiographs, charting, and patient education.

Schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:30am-6:15pm, 40 hours weekly. Travel between clinics may be required; cross-trained duties include front desk support as needed. Join a mission-driven team focused on community oral health.

Qualifications

• Two years dental assisting experience preferred.
• Computer literate in email, word processing, and office management software.
• A valid, unrestricted driver’s license required
• BLS certification or ability to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting dentists and hygienists with preventive, restorative, oral surgery, and prosthodontics procedures.
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient, safe patient care.
• Taking radiographs, vital signs, dental charting, and sterilization procedures.
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and nutrition.
• Participating in school-based outreach and PSP programs.
• Supporting clinic operations through inventory, maintenance and admin tasks.
• Traveling to other dental clinics as needed and assisting with front desk duties when cross-trained.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting dentists and hygienists with a variety of procedures including preventive, restorative, oral surgery, and prosthodontics
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure efficient, safe patient care

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

High School/GED preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least two (2) years dental assisting experience preferred
• Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software required
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage upon hire required
• BLS certification or ability to obtain required
