Job summary

Frontline Dental Implant Specialists in Amarillo, TX is seeking an enthusiastic Dental Assistant who thrives on building positive relationships with patients. You will provide patient care, educate patients on the oral-systemic links, and collaborate with the clinical team to support growth.

Daily duties include assisting the doctor and hygienist, chair-side support, chart reviews, consent forms, X-rays and impressions, sterilization, lab tracking, and scheduling assistance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Radiography certification required.
  • Dental Assistant certification required.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred.
  • Nitrous oxide/O2 analgesia certification preferred or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chair-side manner and exceptional customer service.
  • Assist doctor and hygienist with procedures.
  • Review patient charts prior to arrival and document health history.
  • Ensure all consent forms are completed before procedures.
  • Perform basic dental procedures such as cleaning, X-rays and impressions.
  • Clean, sterilize and prepare equipment and operatory.
  • Track lab cases, monitor and order dental supplies.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in HIPAA; comply with OSHA and BBP.
  • Assist in educating patients and support scheduling with administrative team.

Position Type: Full Time

Skills/ Abilities
  • Provide excellent chair-side manner and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain excellent patient service and assist the doctor and/or hygienist(s)
  • Review patient charts prior to doctor arrival, document appropriate patient information and health history during the exam and treatment
  • Ensures all consent forms are completed prior to procedure.
  • Ability to perform basic dental procedures such as cleaning, X-rays, and dental impressions.
  • Clean, sterilize and prepare the equipment and operatory, prior to and after a patient’s appointment.
  • Track lab cases, monitor and order dental supplies.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance, follow safety policies and procedures through OSHA compliance and BBP (Blood-borne Pathogens) Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Assist in educating the patients and address their questions and/or concerns to help them feel more comfortable.
  • Assist the business administrative team in scheduling patients.
Education/Certification(s)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Radiography certification required.
  • Dental Assistant certification
  • Current certification in CPR- BLS preferred.
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferredas required by state, or ability to become certified.
