Job summary

DOCS Health seeks a Part-time Dental Assistant to support our contracted county jails in New Mexico. You will provide on-site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist within a controlled environment, contributing to a critical public health mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Dental Assistant Program or on-the-job training.
• 1+ year dental assisting experience preferred.
• Active x-ray certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Some travel may be required.

Seeking a Part‑Time Dental Assistant to work at our contracted county jails in the state of New Mexico. Professional will be providing on‑site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist in a controlled/safe environment.

This opportunity provides a great source of supplemental income and a valuable experience in a public health setting, while making a difference in health outcomes for incarcerated individuals.

• Set-up and breakdown of room.
• Sterilization of all equipment.
• Take/process x-rays.
• Assist in 4-handed dentistry.
• Work with portable/mobile equipment.

Requirements

• Graduate of Dental Assistant Program or on the job training
• One (1) year or more dental assisting experience - preferred
• Active x-Ray Certification
• CPR/BLS
• Valid Driver License
• Reliable Transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Some travel required
