Job summary

EndoCare Group, based in Alameda, CA, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. You will support the dentist, manage patient flow, and help deliver a world-class patient experience.

You may travel between Alameda, Berkeley, and Oakland offices as needed, perform sterilization, prepare patients, and maintain clean, compliant treatment rooms while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of proven experience as dental assistant, specialty is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Active state radiology license (if required by law).
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for treatment, ensuring comfort.
• Sterilize instruments and set up equipment per regulations.
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry and provide post-op instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling; assist with payments.
• Travel between Alameda, Berkeley, and Oakland offices as needed.
• Keep the dental room clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.

Our office, EndoCare Group - Alameda, is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice.

We are looking for a talented and skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Your Responsibilities

• You will ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist's shoulders.
• You will be focused on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered.
• You will help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to resource during their visit which includes the following:
• Welcoming patients to the dental office
• Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
• Selecting and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
• Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Scheduling appointments and post op visits
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Assisting with payment procedures
• Ability to travel between our three offices - Alameda, Berkeley, and Oakland - as needed
• As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

You are a resourceful dental assistant who loves helping patients receive the experience they deserve and helping the Dentist to provide it. You also have the following:

• At least 1-2 years of proven experience as dental assistant, specialty is preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• A high school diploma
• A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
• An active state radiology license (if required by law)
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment
• Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
• Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
• Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
• Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
