Job summary

Chimney Rock Family Dental in Abilene, TX is hiring a Dental Assistant to join the team for a full-time schedule Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. You will assist dentists chairside, welcome patients, prepare them for treatment, and maintain sterile, well-equipped operatories.

Requires Texas dental assistant license and 2+ years of experience, with familiarity with dental instruments, sterilization, safety regulations, and dental software.

Qualifications

• Active Texas dental assistant license is required.
• Dental assistant training or certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting clinical experience.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods and safety regulations.
• Experience with digital dental software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentists chairside during procedures.
• Welcomes patients and prepares them for treatments or checkups.
• Select and set up instrumentation and dental materials as needed.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and perform basic lab tasks as instructed.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and keep operatories clean and stocked.
