Dakota Dental in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced three-doctor practice with over 40 years of experience. You will assist doctors and hygienists, prep operatory, review health histories, take radiographs, and help ensure patient comfort.

The role requires knowledge of Dentrix, strong communication, and certification in CPR and Nitrous Oxide. We offer a competitive hourly wage, quarterly bonuses, 401k, medical insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited South Dakota Assisting School, DANB Certification, or a Registered Dental Assistant License in SD.
• CPR and Nitrous Oxide certificate required.
• Knowledge of patient screening, charting, and medical history procedures/documentation.
• Ability to perform a full range of established dental assistant protocol and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the clinical team in delivering exceptional dental care.
• Sterilize instruments and clean rooms in between patient care.
• Properly set up an operatory for procedures planned.
• Polish teeth and apply fluoride for hypersensitivity and cavity prevention.
• Instruct patients at chair side in oral hygiene, brushing, flossing techniques and periodontal aids.
• Charts such conditions for further diagnosis and treatment by dentist.

Dakota Dental is looking to expand our team! We are a fast paced, 3 doctor dental practice providing exceptional care for over 40 years. We put our patients and team members first and want you to be a part of our team.

Job Description:

Responsible for providing excellent patient care in all areas of dentistry. Must be willing to assist both doctors and hygienists in patient care. This person will assist in preparing the operatory, reviewing health histories, taking radiographs, delivering patient care, communicating instructions, and sterilization of the operatory and instruments used in the procedure.

Required Skills/Education:

Strong computer skills and experience with Dentrix are preferred. Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Graduate of an accredited South Dakota Assisting School, DANB Certification, or a Registered Dental Assistant License in South Dakota required. CPR and Nitrous Oxide certificate required.

Compensation and benefits included with Full Time Employment:

• Highly competitive wage ranging from $23.00 - $28.00 / hour (based upon experience)
