Job summary

Swissport International AG in Denver is seeking a Fleet Mechanic Supervisor to lead the Fleet shop, oversee maintenance scheduling, and provide technical guidance to the team to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires 1–3 years of GSE/Fleet maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and a Heavy Duty/Automotive certification; Maximo skills are a plus. Travel may be needed, and the venue offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience of GSE/fleet maintenance.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Certification in Heavy Duty/Automotive trade.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Maximo or similar CMMS.

  • Oversee day-to-day shop operations.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate repairs and servicing with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environment and quality standards.
  • Maintain shop inventory and budgetary controls.

Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Fleet department and will support the maintenance staff with technical advice and guidance, plan vehicle maintenance and scheduling of servicing and emergency repairs to assure that company quality control standards are always met.

The expected pay rate is up to $35.00 - $37.00/hour. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities
  • Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage
  • Supervise daily operation of the shop
  • Perform all responsibilities of a Fleet Mechanic
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and company policies and procedures
  • Communicate with Senior Management, Ramp staff, and SP Customers in a professional manner
  • Will liaison with Ramp management to coordinate repairs and servicing with minimal disruption to the day-to-day operation of SP customer(s)
  • Review and modify Preventive Maintenance schedules on SP and customer contract vehicles
  • Provide training, or can recommend training for GSE staff
  • Assist with inventory and budgetary control(s) which includes ordering of parts for the GSE shop
  • Assist mechanics in problem diagnostics and answer technical questions pertaining to equipment
  • Assure all staff follows all safety guidelines and procedures set out by SP and WCB
  • Is responsible for shop appearance and tracking service equipment maintenance and function
  • Maintain EPA requirements as necessary
  • Assures quality control on every piece of equipment that leaves shop after work is performed
  • Will retain a motor vehicle driver's license for both air side / non air side in good standing at all times while employed with SP
  • Will have knowledge of WHIMIS and be responsible to ensure a copy is in place for the GSE shop
Your profile
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years' experience of GSE/Fleet Maintenance
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must have Clear ID
  • Have certification of completion in one of the following trades: Heavy duty/Commercial or Automotive mechanic license. Certification must be kept in good standing
  • Knowledge of computer maintenance program, Maximo
  • Good oral and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to travel when necessary for training or to assist other SP stations with GSE needs as required
