Job description

About the Team

The Demo Studio translates the company’s most advanced capabilities into tangible, high-impact experiences for customers. We design and deliver the demos, applications, and environments that help executives understand what is possible with AI.

Our work sits at the intersection of product, engineering, design, and go-to-market. We operate as a hybrid of product studio and live production team, building experiences that are both technically credible and narratively compelling.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Demo Studio Engineer to build and deliver compelling demonstrations for the company’s events, webinars, and customer engagements.

You’ll independently own defined demo projects from initial brief through delivery, translating approved product positioning and audience needs into working applications, believable workflows, and clear stories. You’ll build and test the underlying experience, prepare it for live use, and present it directly to executive, technical, and industry audiences.

Working within the team’s broader priorities, you’ll make practical implementation decisions, anticipate risks, and collaborate with partners to deliver dependable results. You’ll also improve the tools, documentation, and reusable components that make our demos easier to build and deliver.

This role is ideal for a hands-on builder who combines technical fluency, product thinking, and storytelling, cares about the details, and enjoys making complex technology understandable through experience.

In this role, you will:

  • Independently delivering defined demo projects for events, webinars, and executive engagements, managing milestones and clearly communicating progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Translating approved positioning, real product capabilities, and customer needs into clear narratives, realistic workflows, and useful takeaways.
  • Building working applications, high-fidelity demo environments, and AI-powered workflows using ChatGPT Work, Codex, APIs, approved data, and connected tools.
  • Testing and debugging demos, validating capabilities and known limitations, and preparing practical fallback and recovery plans.
  • Personally presenting live and recorded demonstrations, adapting the story and technical detail to the audience and responding thoughtfully to questions.
  • Preparing presenter guidance, participating in rehearsals, and troubleshooting technical issues during delivery.
  • Collaborating with Product, Research, Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, GTM, and Events to align demos with technical truth, approved claims, customer context, and program requirements.
  • Incorporating product, sales, and customer success perspectives so demonstrations address real customer questions and support adoption.
  • Adapting established demos for different audiences and formats while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Creating reusable components, reference demos, and documentation, and incorporating feedback to improve the team’s work.
  • Identifying scope and delivery tradeoffs early, proposing solutions, and seeking alignment when decisions affect broader priorities or commitments.
You might thrive in this role if you:
  • Has demonstrated experience building technical demos, prototypes, customer-facing applications, or similar interactive experiences.
  • Can independently take a moderately scoped project from brief to delivery, anticipate challenges, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Is comfortable writing and debugging code, working with APIs and data, and connecting tools into useful AI-powered workflows.
  • Brings strong working knowledge of their technical area and practical judgment about usability, reliability, and technical limitations.
  • Can turn complex technical concepts into clear stories grounded in real customer needs.
  • Has experience presenting technical work live and can communicate clearly with executive, technical, and nontechnical audiences.
  • Works collaboratively across functions, incorporates different perspectives, and constructively challenges assumptions.
  • Cares deeply about craft and detail, follows through on commitments, and stays calm when troubleshooting under pressure.
  • Is curious about AI and actively explores how new capabilities can create useful customer experiences.
