Jacoby & Meyers is seeking a smart and capable Associate Attorney to join the Demands/Litigation team. This remote full-time role requires a JD and California bar admission, with 1–2 years of personal injury experience preferred.

You will manage a significant caseload, draft pleadings, monitor statutes of limitations, and coordinate with multiple departments to advocate for clients. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits and a culture that values initiative and collaboration.

Qualifications

• JD required and California bar admission.
• 1–2 years of personal injury experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-up ability.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a significant case load
• Draft and file pleadings, and other miscellaneous notices, documents, with the court
• Track cases with upcoming statutes of limitations
• Track service of process
• Review court documents
• Attend court hearings as needed
• Review all information, evidence and documentation, including medical records, bills, loss of earnings documentation and change in lifestyle information, that will help build a case
• Sort and read through medical records, insurance correspondence, and settlement releases on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with multiple departments including Case Management, Demands, and Liens
• Maintain communication with clients to guide them through the filing of their lawsuit and the settlement process

Job Description:
