Responsibilities

• Demand Planning – Forecasting: analyze historical sales trends and forecast accuracy across channels.
• Monitor wholesale holiday bulk orders and perform year-over-year performance analysis.
• Support demand planning for new product launches with historical data and comparable style performance.
• Review planned orders, identify pre-edit items and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate demand.
• Gain hands-on experience with demand planning systems and forecasting tools.

The David Yurman Internship Program in New York City is a paid 9-week immersive experience designed for students and emerging professionals passionate about the luxury jewelry industry. This exclusive program offers interns the opportunity to work closely with expert teams across various departments. Interns will gain hands‑on experience in crafting exquisite jewelry, understanding the intricacies of luxury branding, and learning the operational aspects of a world‑renowned brand. Set in the heart of NYC, interns will also have access to networking events, mentorship, and industry insights that foster professional growth in the competitive luxury market.

Title

Demand Planning Intern Reports to Demand Planning Manager

What you’ll do

• Demand Planning – Demand Forecasting Analyze historical sales trends, demand patterns, and forecast accuracy to identify variances and opportunities to improve forecasting across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
• Monitor and track wholesale holiday bulk orders, including sales order reviews, year-over-year performance analysis, and reporting.
• Support demand planning for new product launches through historical sales analysis, comparable style performance, and evaluation of anticipated demand.
• Assist in reviewing planned orders, identifying pre-edit items, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to validate demand and highlight potential purchasing risks.
• Gain hands‑on experience with demand planning systems and forecasting tools.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with an interest in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and effectively communicate findings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn, with an interest in luxury retail, merchandise planning, and supply chain operations.

Education

Must be currently enrolled in undergraduate studies in a related field with a 3.0 overall GPA minimum. Planning, Business Management, Supply Chain Management majors preferred.
