The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in demand planning, strong analytical skills, and hands-on SAP demand planning experience (IBP, APO DP, ECC, or S/4HANA). Proficiency in Excel and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in demand or supply chain planning in manufacturing or distribution.
• BS in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.

• Strong Excel skills and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts to support manufacturing and distribution operations. This role partners with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to align demand, inventory, and production plans while supporting the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The ideal candidate has experience in demand planning within a manufacturing or distribution environment, strong analytical skills, and hands‑on experience with SAP demand planning tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts across multiple product lines using statistical analysis and business inputs.
• Execute demand planning activities within the ERP system while maintaining accurate planning data.
• Analyze historical sales trends, customer demand, promotions, seasonality, and market conditions to improve forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop consensus demand plans.
• Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, demand reviews, and forecast alignment activities.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and key supply chain metrics while recommending corrective actions.
• Partner with production, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with production capacity, lead times, and inventory objectives.
• Support new product introductions, product transitions, and end‑of‑life planning.
• Maintain planning parameters including safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead times within the ERP system.
• Generate reports and planning analyses to support operational and business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve demand planning processes and system utilization.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain planning.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3-7 years of demand planning or supply chain planning experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP demand planning solutions, including IBP, APO DP, ECC, or S/4HANA preferred.
• Experience participating in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience analyzing large datasets.
• Knowledge of inventory management, production planning, and distribution operations.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to recommend process enhancements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field required, or equivalent professional experience.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 3-7 years of demand planning or supply chain planning experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environments required.
• Experience using SAP demand planning tools (IBP, APO DP, ECC, or S/4HANA) strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting S&OP processes and cross‑functional supply chain planning preferred.
