Job summary

R.E. Mason, a 100% employee-owned company, seeks an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and commission DeltaV-based control systems for industrial customers. You will support lifecycle services, modify existing control strategies, and assist with process optimization at customer sites.

The role requires on-site work, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a team; prior DCS and PLC experience is preferred. On-site travel within NC/SC/VA is common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• 1+ year experience with DeltaV or similar DCS.
• Experience with additional control systems or PLCs.
• Familiar with ISA S88 and validated systems; manufacturing environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement DeltaV control strategies interfacing valves and pumps.
• Develop system design documentation for continuous and batch processes.
• Support FAT/SAT and start-up at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and instrument bus issues.
• Configure wireless field networks and historian integration.
