Job summary

A technology service provider is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site support primarily for Dell products. The role involves driving to various customer locations in the Chicago area to repair and troubleshoot computers, desktops, and printers. Candidates must have A+ Certification and experience in break/fix support. Must be prepared for extensive travel and have a reliable vehicle. This is a long-term contract position with biweekly pay and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• A+ Certification is mandatory, including training or expired.
• Any Dell or other product manufacturer certification is a plus.
• Good experience with laptops and desktops is required.
• Experience in break/fix support is necessary.

Job Details

• Title: Desktop Support/Field Service Technician/Computer Driving Technician.
• Location: Chicago, IL (and other US locations).
• Type of Job: Long term Contract/Contract to permanent.

Job Role / Duties

• Drive to various customer locations from the pickup parts location.
• Visit business offices and houses to repair / troubleshoot / break‑fix computers, desktops, laptops, printers.
• Use your own car to travel and provide service.
• Work primarily for Dell products (previous experience a plus).
• Travel within a 50–70 mile radius from pickup location.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and attire.
• Be prepared for overtime work and extensive driving (≈300 miles per week).>
