Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Santa Barbara, CA is hiring for a Driver / Warehouse position. The role combines driving duties with warehouse responsibilities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, and interacting with customers to ensure timely deliveries.

The person will operate forklifts and RF scanning systems while maintaining accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Class E driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Class E drivers license (Class C for drivers in Illinois).
• Communication proficiency, thoroughness, organization, time management and technical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver company materials to customers in a professional manner.
• Effectively and professionally meet and communicate with the public.
• Drive, automatic/manual transmission vehicle safely and legally.
• Shipping and receiving duties including loading and unloading trucks.
• Read orders to determine items to pick, pack, distribute or ship.
• Move materials from receiving or storage to shipping and other areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins according to sequence.
• Assemble customer orders and place on pallets or shelves.
• Use computer and RF guns to manage sales orders, inventory and data entry.
• Participate in cycle counting of physical inventory.
• Open boxes and containers; operate wire cutter and forklift as needed.
• Maintain an orderly warehouse and safe access for customers.
