Job summary

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a CDL driver in Grimes, IA. You will deliver materials to customers, assist with loading/unloading, and maintain safety and DOT compliance. The role requires a valid CDL, a DOT medical card, and a customer-focused approach.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starting pay is competitive, with a range that reflects experience and local wage rules. Benefits and growth opportunities are highlighted in the Ferguson program.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL and meet DOT requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have 1+ years CDL driving experience preferred.
• Maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers using pallet jack and dolly; ensure proof of delivery.
• Pick up customer returns and verify products for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; report issues to supervisor.

Starting at $27.00 per hour and can pay higher based on experience

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 1+ years of CDL driving experience preferred
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Must currently, have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the customer, which includes utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload and ensuring delivery of ticket with material
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Pay Range

$19.26 - $30.76

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
