Job summary

Ferguson in Rhode Island is hiring a delivery driver to load, unload, and deliver materials to customers on a Monday–Friday schedule, with home daily and no nights or weekends. A valid CDL, clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

The role includes pre/post trip inspections, using an iPad, and following DOT and safety policies. Starting pay ranges from $20.22 to $32.30 per hour, with benefits, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet and maintain CDL requirements.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs.
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers using pallet jack and dolly to load/unload and ensure delivery ticket matches material.
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems to supervisor.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including PPE usage.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: starting at $23 per hour or higher depending on experience

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Pay Range:

$20.22 - $32.30

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
