Job summary

Amazon is seeking energetic Delivery Trainers to mentor Delivery Associates across stations. You will lead hands-on training, drive-along sessions, and ensure safety compliance throughout daily operations.

You will partner with DSPs and managers, track performance, and report on trainings. Travel to multiple sites within 50 miles is required; a high school diploma and MS Office proficiency are expected, with a Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years Amazon experience preferred.

Amazon is seeking energetic, self‑motivated Delivery Trainers to join our team and help build a network of customer‑centric Delivery Associates in the communities where we operate. As a Delivery Trainer, you have a passion for mentoring others; you are comfortable teaching and guiding conversations in large groups; and you believe in hands‑on training and conducting drive‑along sessions with Delivery Associates to instill safe practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate daily training classes for up to 30 people, including in‑station classes and drive‑along sessions.
  • Partner with Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), Operations Managers, Area Managers, and Learning Teams to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training‑related activities.
  • Have a detailed understanding of processes, expectations, and training requirements for all drivers across the various driver programs in operation.
  • Track performance and provide identified retraining and process‑improvement opportunities for non‑CDL driver, DOT‑regulated training.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on the completion of trainings, compliance, safety, and maintenance duties.
  • Execute to standard, always working to ensure that the content and experience complement the safety, quality, and legal procedures as defined.
  • Educate and audit driver safety and compliance standards such as driver vehicle inspection reports, hours of service, trip planning and safe road driving practices.
  • Track and monitor performance including on‑road ride‑behinds to measure on‑road quality, adherence to standards, and identify retraining and process‑improvement opportunities.
  • Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck as scheduled using approved equipment (dolly, etc.), with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work outside and drive different motor vehicles over the road.
  • Drive in accordance with DOT requirements.
  • Stay connected to the operation by participating in on‑road processes on a regular basis.
  • Be a resource to the delivery station for driver training‑related questions.
  • Work different shifts and travel to support other sites, up to 50% travel.
  • Work as a peer trainer on an as‑needed basis to support the business.
  • Motivate, coach, and provide feedback to Delivery Associates during training.
  • Travel to multiple sites within 50 miles of the home station and have reliable transportation.
  • Operate and navigate a 26,000‑pound or less vehicle.
  • Effectively operate a GPS.
  • Associate may be required to gain DOT Regulation Qualification as a condition of the role.
  • Work 40 hours per week, and overtime as required.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering training both to individuals and groups.
  • 2+ years of professional driving experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
  • Knowledge of instructional theories: adult learning, on‑the‑job learning, knowledge management theories, virtual and classroom instruction.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and competing priorities.
