Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Delivery Technician in Hickory, NC to deliver, set up, and pick up durable medical equipment in patient homes. You will educate patients on equipment use and ensure safe operation while delivering high-quality customer service.

This role offers a stable schedule with on-call rotation and opportunities for hands-on, patient-facing responsibilities in a small-team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and setups.
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes.
• Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use.
• Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life-sustaining needs.
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle.
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed.

Delivery Technician - Hickory, NC

About the Role

The Delivery Technician delivers, sets up, and picks up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes. You will educate patients on basic equipment use and ensure safe operation while providing high-quality customer service.

Schedule

Schedule Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

On-Call Transparency

On-call rotation once every other week.

Rotation runs Monday-Sunday Paid an on-call stipend Paid from the moment you leave home for a call Overtime paid if on-call causes over 40 hours in the week Most callouts occur Saturday night and Sunday daytime

Salary Range

Salary Range $17.64 to $18.86 per hour Pay varies based on experience, skills, and location Eligible for Safe Driver Bonus

What You'll Do

• Safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and setups
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes
• Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use
• Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life-sustaining needs
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed
• Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately
• Maintain supply components in patient profiles
• Assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs
• Perform routine vehicle checks
• Support additional duties as assigned
