Job summary

Markey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking Part-Time as Needed (PRN) Delivery Technicians to join our Warehouse Operations team at our Indianapolis Headquarters. The Delivery Technician will transport audiovisual equipment to event venues and branch offices, assisting with set-up and tear down of equipment at site as needed.

This is a PRN, hourly (non-exempt) position with variable hours based on business demand.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license and ability to pass DOT medical certification.
• For Hire endorsement required to drive company vehicles.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
• Professional appearance and cooperative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AV equipment to event venues and assist with setup.
• Transfer equipment between Markey\'s branch offices.
• Pickup and return equipment after events and assist teardown.
• Operate vehicles from passenger cars to 26' box trucks.
• Coordinate with dispatcher to confirm delivery times.
• Provide excellent service to clients and staff.
• Follow fueling, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Delivery Technician

Description

Markey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking Part-Time as Needed (PRN) Delivery Technicians to add to our Warehouse Operations team at our Indianapolis Headquarters. The Delivery Technician will transport audiovisual equipment to various event venues and branch office locations, assisting with set-up and tear down of equipment at event site as needed. Works closely with dispatcher to ensure on-time equipment delivery to the proper location.

This is a Part-Time as Needed (PRN), hourly (non-exempt) position with variable hours based on business demand. PRN hourly employees are guaranteed a minimum of four (4) hours of pay when scheduled, even if work is completed early due to customer needs or operational requirements.

Position Responsibilities

• Deliver audiovisual equipment to local and regional event venues, assisting with set-up of equipment as needed.
• Transfer equipment to other Markey's branch offices as directed.
• Pick up and ensure the safe return of audiovisual equipment post-event, assisting with tear down as needed.
• Operate company vehicles from passenger cars to 26' non-CDL box trucks.
• Work closely with dispatcher to confirm delivery times and locations to ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Follow proper procedures for truck fueling, vehicle maintenance, recordkeeping, and driving and transportation regulations.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurance requirements, be able to pass a DOT medical certification, and obtain a For Hire endorsement to be able to drive a box truck, van or other company vehicle.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and frequently load, unload, push, pull, and transport audiovisual equipment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a positive and professional manner.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Must have a professional appearance and positive, cooperative attitude.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
