Job summary

Health Aid of Ohio is seeking a Medical Delivery Technician to perform delivery, assembly, maintenance and repair of home healthcare equipment, including wheelchairs and mobility products. This role reports to the Service Manager and supports customers in home and office settings.

Responsibilities include delivering and assembling equipment, providing high-level customer service, on-call coverage, instructing patients on equipment use, and maintaining paperwork and vehicle condition.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited high school or GED equivalent.
• Technical or production experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Able to lift heavy items regularly.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Able to read and speak English fluently.
• Responsible, cooperative attitude and neat appearance.
• License and vehicle registration as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assembly, repair and delivery of equipment.
• Deliver seating and mobility products and perform maintenance.
• Handle service calls in office and field settings.
• Occasional evening and weekend on-call support.
• Instruct patients on proper use of care equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of provided equipment and complete paperwork accurately.
• Keep company vehicle and work area in good condition.
• Participate in on-call rotation and complete continuing education.
• Attend to all other duties as directed by management.

Our products include a wide selection including power and manual wheelchairs, walkers, bathroom safety equipment, ramps, vertical lifts, stair lifts and vehicle lifts.

Position Overview:

The Medical Delivery Technician is responsible for a wide range of delivery and assembly work, including maintenance and repair of home equipment. Tasks will include assembly, maintenance and delivery of seating and mobility positioning systems including wheelchairs and other mobility solutions. This position reports directly to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Provides high level of customer service at all times.
• Responsible for assembly, repair and delivery of all products and equipment.
• Responsible for service calls as needed in the office and in the field.
• Responsible for some evening and weekend support according to on-call schedules.
• Responsible for instructing patients on proper use of care equipment.
• Must maintain high level of product knowledge on all provided equipment.
• Responsible for all paperwork to be signed, completed accurately.
• Responsible for maintaining the physical and mechanical condition of his/her assigned company vehicle and/or work area.
• Is responsible for completing all other duties and projects as requested by the Operations Manager.
• Participation in the on-call rotation is required.
• Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function of the job.
• Complete 10 hours of continuing education credits, relevant to this position, per renewal cycle, including up to 5 hours of in-house facility based In-Service continuing education and a minimum of 5 hours of approved peer review continuing education programs as directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited High School, or GED equivalent.
• Previous technical and/or production experience.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Must be able to lift heavy items regularly.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
• Responsible and cooperative attitude.
• Neat and clean personal appearance.
• License and registration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior home health care experience.

Physical Requirements:

• In an 8-hour day, the employee lifts/carries 150 lbs. frequently.
• In an 8-hour day, the employee stands/walks (2 hours).
• In an 8-hour day, the employee sits 6 hours.
• In an 8-hour day, the employee drives a car/truck (6 hours).
